Open House for Sho-Ban Tribal members

The Idaho Museum of Natural History would like to invite residents of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation to an open house event on September 28, 2013, from 11 am to 5 pm. This event is free to all members of the Sho-Ban tribe.

September 28, 2013, is the last day to view the Smithsonian traveling exhibit Native Words, Native Warriors. This exhibit explores the importance of Native American Code Talkers during World War I and II. A complementary exhibit, A Tradition of Service: Honoring Fort Hall Veterans highlights the willingness of Native Americans, particularly those of Fort Hall, to serve in the military. This exhibit was developed in partnership with several Fort Hall residents.

Other current exhibits include: Whorl Tooth Sharks of Idaho, Lifeway’s: Prehistoric Use of the Snake River Plain, and much more.
