Now that you have seen how a dichotomous key is created, try your hand at creating your own. Click on the link below and it will open a page with that has images of some of Idaho's species. Look closely at the images and find characteristics that identify each of the species. Remember, anything that can be seen, such as body form, color, and pattern can be used to make a key. Once you have completed your key. Click on the unknown species link and you will find several images of species that you should be able to use your key to identify.
