Overview:
Idaho is home to 22 species of reptiles. You can use the visual key to identify the species listed below. Use the key to compare your reptile with the choices given. At each new page choose the option that best matches the characteristics of your species. Pay close attention to detail. If you are careful, this should lead you to the correct home page for each species where you can learn its name and how it lives. To get there: Click on Atlas Home, Biology, Reptiles, Identification Pages, then on Visual Key to Idaho Reptiles.

Objectives:
1. Students will learn how to use the Digital Atlas of Idaho.
2. Students will learn how to use a dichotomous key to identify species of Idaho reptiles.
3. Students will be able to describe some basic life characteristics of reptiles.
