Overview:
Students will learn about the Lake Bonneville Flood: Swiss Valley Area

Procedure:
View the map and then answer the following questions:
1. Locate the Swiss Valley Point Bar and associated cut bank. Describe the fluvial process involved in the formation of point bars and cut banks.
2. Determine the size of the Swiss Valley Point Bar and measure the height of the cut bank.
3. Determine the direction of flow by the features of the point bar and cut bank. Using the boulder size data on the point bar, determine the change of water velocity over the point bar.
