Overview:
Three Welsh sisters, the Leyshons, immigrated to Idaho from Wales in the late 1800s. Each led a different life after their arrival.

Procedure:
Look at the pictures of the three women below then write a story about their lives. Describe what you think their life was like, and how each differed from the others. Use the appearance and dress of the women, as well as the caption for each photo, to get you started.

The oldest sister, Peggy, farmed along the Clearwater River: The middle sister, Bronwyn, homesteaded a dry farm in southeastern Idaho sagebrush country: The youngest sister, Nan, helped keep a General Store in Boise:
