Overview:
Make a map of Idaho's major drainages.

Materials:
Printer and paper Black, red and blue pencils or pens

Procedure:
1. Print a large relief map of Idaho.
2. Using the blue pen, draw in major rivers and lakes (extend your drawings to the borders of the state).
3. Use the black pen to name the rivers and lakes.
4. Using the red pen draw arrows indicating the direction that the rivers are draining (flowing).
When your map is complete, explain why the rivers are flowing in the direction they are, based on topography
