Classes & Public Programs
The museum offers a diverse number of education opportunities.
The Education Resources Center offers classes for persons of all ages, from preschool to high school to home school to adulthood. Museum events spark new ideas and questions as they support scientific concepts and foster new learning. All classes are held at the Idaho Museum of Natural History, on the Idaho State University campus. Please contact Rebecca at (208) 282-2195 for enrollment.
Educational Classes & Programs
Forays into the Field is a unique week-long science experience especially for Junior High and High School aged young women. It takes place every summer.
Natural History Academy offers scientists of any age an exciting and fun learning experience. No classes currently scheduled.
Natural Science Inquiries Series are scientific enrichment classes specifically for children who are homeschooled. No classes currently scheduled.
Pint-Sized Science Academy provides scientific exploration for little ones through hands-on investigations.
Science in Depth is for students in 6th through 8th grades who are ready to investigate a scientific discipline in greater depth. Looking for a fascinating learning challenge? Interested in learning science beyond your school? Then Science in Depth is for you. No classes currently scheduled.
Science Trek™ is an overnight adventure at the Museum for children in 3rd through 5th Grades to explore the frontiers of science with practicing scientists. It is co-sponsored by Idaho Public Television and takes place every April.
Summer Science Snack are week-long classes offered each summer for children who have completed 1st through 6th grades.
