Identify the major water sources
in your town, county, and state. Discuss how close these major water
sources are to your community and how they benefit your community.

Using maps of your community identify
the watersheds in your area. Take a fieldtrip to two of those watershed
areas and observe the conditions there. Do you see any conditions

Water Geography
Acquire maps of your town, county,
and state. Locate the bodies of water on the maps and identify whether
they are natural or man-made. How do these bodies of water benefit
the areas in which they are located? How do these bodies of water
put at risk the animals or human beings in that area? Discuss how
the bodies of water are used and by whom.
Water Facts Book
Make Water Fact Cards. Bind the
cards together to construct a book and use as a water resource guide.
Use the cards to quiz your classmates on their water knowledge. Using
your Water Facts Book and the the computer build a learning module
on Water for your class or family.
